 Company History
Carpet Spectrum was formed as a sole proprietorship by the Browning family (Bill, Jan, Tim and Jason) in March of 1991. We started out in a 10,000 square foot building located at 3702 Jackson Ave. Underscoring our values, we established our first slogan..."You Can Stand On What We Are Standing For". As the business grew and we became more successful, we decided to incorporate and became Carpet Spectrum, Inc. in 1993.
 Sustained growth led to a 5,000 sq.ft. addition in 1995 and, in 1996, we added a cleaning and related supply service. To support this new segment of our company, we purchased the building next door at 3708 Jackson Ave. We named this new business CSI and are all thrilled with the depth it has brought our business. In 2004, we have expanded our already broad array of services to become the Memphis area's first to provide the MOHAWK FloorCare Essentials 100% Dust-Free Hardwood Floor refinishing process.
 Investing as our confidence in the Memphis market grew seemed natural and we decided to open a 2nd location in 2001. We located in Southhaven, Mississippi thus broadening our coverage of the metropolitan Memphis area. It is located at 8256 Airways Blvd just over the state line.
